Dublin and Oslo

20 01 2010

Hey everyone! I hope you are able to enjoy a few pictures of Dublin and Oslo. From Dublin you can see Christ´s Church Cathedral, St. Patrick´s Cathedral, and the royal stables (the pictures without snow). Dublin has so much history to share. In the hostel I spent time with so many friends from other countries. One night I was one of two Americans among 12 in my room! I had a couple of adventures along the way, though. Sunday morning I went to Destiny Church in Dublin. I got my flight time a little confused and still hadn´t left for the airport an hour and a half before the gate was to be closed. A really awesome friend drove me to the airport quickly because she knew that a bus would not get me there in time. Ok, problem one accomplished. I then flew into Oslo only to find out that I landed at an airport two hours south of the city. Some friends were picking me up (including the one and only Jimmy Gaspar) so I managed to connect with them about three hours after I intended to. Sorry Jimmy! But we had a blast in Oslo as you can see the beautiful landscape. We spent one day in the home town of our host Hanne. Her parents made us some authentic Norwegian food that was absolutely delicious! The culture here seems very laid back and friendly. We also visited the Viking museum where we learned about a dead Viking woman who was very big and hairy. I think I´m in love! All in all, this trip is a blast so far. I wish you were all here with me to experience these other cultures. My Norwegian isn´t the greatest yet, but I´ll be working on it. Tomorrow I fly to London and then spend two weeks at Lábri (check it out) just south of London. Hade bra (good bye in Norwegian)!

You would be in love with a hairy Viking woman. Remember to take it all in and not get lost in the shuffel. Be safe and I’m praying for you!

You look as handsome in Norway as you do in IL! Watch out for those Viking girls. You are a great catch and a little hairy on the face too! Have fun in London and don’t miss your flight! Great adventures and fun stories! We love you!

My nephew, an architecture student, went to school last semester in Copenhagen. I got to follow him as he traveled all over, too. The pictures are amazing and almost surreal. Thanks for sharing with us.

I’m interested to hear about your experience at L’abri, Caleb. I read one of Francis’s books several years ago and have since then wanted to visit L’abri. Enjoy your time there, brother. May it bless your soul.

Caleb: Hey, what’s up? Zack gave me the link.

Pastoral advice: Re-think the hairy woman thing.

What are you reading/studying?

Enjoy! Prayerfully, Billy
